WIC Free Food and Nutrition Women, Infants and Children Program

The Massachusetts Women, Infants and Children Program is a nutrition program that provides nutrition and health education, healthy food, and other services free of charge to Massachusetts families who qualify. WIC stands for Women, Infants and Children. You are eligible if you:
  • Live in Massachusetts
  • Are a pregnant, postpartum or breastfeeding woman or have a child under 5 years of age.
  • Have a nutritional need
  • Have a household income that is less than or equal to the income guidelines below:

You are automatically income eligible for WIC if you currently receive TAFDC, Food Stamps or Mass Health (Mass Health members with Family Assistance or Commonwealth Coverage are not automatically income eligible). Foster kids under age 5 are also automatically eligible for WIC. 

HOW TO APPLY FOR WIC:
To request more information and/or set up an appointment, call the WIC Program in your community or call
1-800-WIC-1007 for assistance. There are 35 WIC locations across Massachusetts. Many WIC offices are open in the evenings and on Saturdays so you do not have to miss work. The local WIC program staff will tell you what to bring to your appointment. Walk-ins are welcome.
